Marble polishing is one of the kinds of finishing the surface of natural stone. This working process allows getting perfectly smooth surface of natural stone with a deep and almost plate gloss. The main advantage of such finishing is that polishing reveals a wealth of textures of natural marble and demonstrates its color as much as possible.

The stone takes a fantastic smooth and glossy surface as a result of polishing process – close contact of the product with rotating felt material saturated with a polishing chemical. Marble polishing is also a way to make its surface maximally resistant to water exposure and atmosphere factors. The results of natural stone polishing are:

• Perfectly smooth and even surface without any drops;
• Effect of integrity if the product consists of several parts;
• Saturated colors and sharp texture;
• Color depth and volume;
• Bright shine and specular effect.

When polishing of natural stone all the microscopic scratches left after grinding are removed. Polishing is performed by consistent processing of the stone surface with fine abrasives and then with special polishing compounds inflicted on felt.

When it comes to finishing marble polishing then it is performed with the help of special finishing pastes and powders the main active ingredient of which are oxides of metals: chromium, aluminum and tin. Their ability to polishing is caused by many factors and also high melting points of such compounds among others.

Polishing is recommended not only for marble but also for many other kinds of natural stone that have rich pattern and original color.
